Cardiovascular Institute

Our Cardiovascular Institute is home to some of the finest cardiovascular services in Maryland. We're also home to the first chest pain emergency department in the world. From preventive, critical care and rehabilitative medicine, this Institute thrives on teamwork.

The team consists of interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons, catheterization and vascular lab technicians, nurses, radiologists and rehabilitation specialists. The Chest Pain Emergency Department consists of cardiologists, emergency physicians and critical care physicians and nurses. The institute also works closely with the Stroke Center and our neurology team as well as our dietary and nutrition team to assist with cardiac rehab.

Women's & Children's Health Institute

Our Women's & Children's Health Institute encompasses our OB/GYN services as well as our pediatric services. We treat the complex issues that women and children face throughout their lives with compassion and an unrivaled commitment to safety. Through teamwork and collaboration, we work to ensure the health of our young patients from the very beginning of their life to adulthood.

Our Women's Health team consists of our OB/GYN physicians, prenatal nurses and physicians, perinatal nurses and physicians, our rapid response team and our NICU. Our Children's Institute includes the emergency team in our pediatric emergency room as well as pediatric physicians and nurses.

Orthopaedics & Spine Institute

The physicians at the Orthopaedic and Spine Institute are some of the region's most experienced and innovative. They utilize the latest technology and techniques to treat patients, particularly in the field of minimally invasive surgery, drastically reducing pain and recovery time.

Our orthopaedic and spine specialists work closely with one another. The team starts with surgeons but also includes nurses on the patient education team, OR nurses, post-operative nurses, rehabilitation nurses, and the physical therapy team who work to rehab the patient, getting them back to a normal life.
